Soul of Korea's Website
I'm glad the owners of Soul of Korea finally decided it was time for their restaurant to have a website. Although the website's design is far from 2010's standards, it has a menu link and that's all I really care about. Soul of Korea is our favorite place for Korean food, no wonder we filmed our very first episode there too: http://gnatv.com/episodes/soul-korea.
Check out there new site at http://www.soulofkorea.net/
99 Pictures from El Salvador
I took well over 1,000 pictures in total but I figure 10% can pretty much sum up the entire trip.
These pictures are taken with my ancient Nikon D50 stock lens.
Final Update from El Salvador
It's the end of our trip and we're ready to come back home. El Salvador has been very interesting for Grayson and me. Grayson now knows first hand what it's like to be a minority. I discovered that my childish prejedous against certain rural areas was totally wrong and it's what I find most attractive now.
This is the final update but I have nothing grandios to share.
Status Report: Day 5 in El Salvador
In this trip to El Salvador, we've noticed the high contrast between the city of San Salvador and the country.
On one hand you have a very busy and animated city, full of pedestrians on the street and crazy traffic zooming by with utter confidence.
On the other hand you have the Pacific Coastline, facinating black and grey sand, decent waves and friendly beach people, not to mention the breath taking sunset.
It's very easy to forget our daily troubles when you're swinging in your hammock gazzing at the incredible bright constellations.
Status Report: Day 3 in San Salvador
So far it's been an amazing experience, I'm going to try to mention a few key events to give you an idea. First off, people from different walks of life keep telling us to be careful, very very careful. Sometimes I filter their warnings for Grayson when I translate it to him. He's already on 100% tense mode.
Tampa Local Blogs
We generally use our blogs for pointless rants or raves but apparently there's lots of sites with important and relevant information for the local area of Tampa. If you reside in the area of Tampa Bay (Hillsborough/Pinellas) you should visit these sites on a regular basis.
Urban Biking: Nebraska Avenue, Tampa FL
Nebraska Avenue is one of the main roads I bike on from home to get to work. I ride it for about 50% of my total trip but in that little stretch of time I get a whole lot of entertainment; everything from yelling passengers to random redneck pick-up honks, not to mention the regular sidewalk characters... it's like Universal Studios theme park for free.
Magnum Opus at the Ritz, Ybor
Magnum Opus was held last night at the Ritz, Ybor City. It was a free ($1 donation at the door) event, naturally GNATV was there too mooch and report.
Takeout Tipping Policy
It's a Friday night and you feel pooped out from a busy week and all you want to do is order takeout and get home into your pj's. Be it pizza or Chinese takeout you'll probably pay with credit card and the server/cashier will hand you a regular receipt slip for your signature and the optional tip amount... What do you do?
